We have been approached by the producers of Dinner Date and asked if any of our members would like to take part in this new ITV show.
The idea behind the show is that a man or woman blindly picks three people to date purely on the basis of the three course meal that those people propose to serve them. Then they go round to each of their houses on a blind date and get cooked a meal.

So where do single 50’s like to go on a first date? Well we know the answer following our most recent poll.
40% said they would like to go to a bar – the most popular choice of first date location
27% said they would like to go to a coffee shop
10% said they would like to go a restaurant
Other responses, included; bowling, cinema, live music, theatre and a picnic in the partk.
There is a rise in the number of ‘SWOFties’ – Single Women Over Fifty. Many of these SWOFties are focused on living life to the full, actively dating, getting into social networking sites and filling up their passports, but few are clued up when it comes to their finances. Unfortunately a quarter of SWOFties have no financial plans for the future and a third know little or nothing about the State Pension – so the Department for Work and Pensions is calling on them to ensure they are prepared for later life.
